July 21st Tournament

July 21st Tournament Tee Times and Payment Status

Our Third Thursday Tournament will be on Mesa Linda. Your lowest net score from July 7th, July 21st, August 4th or September 1st tournament is combined with your net from September 15th in the competition of Club Champion (net) and Flight Champions.   Club Champions (net and gross) and Flight Champions must have played in 5 events since 10/1/21.  Members may play in any of these tournaments regardless of prior event play.

The format for this tournament (July 21st) is individual low net and net skins by flight.

Our Friday sign up sheet openings have become quite competitive.  The demand for tee times is likely to exceed the number of spots available for our next tournament.  We have been able to find spots for every person on the waiting list up to this point.  On our last tournament, we had placed 92 players at one point, but ended up with only 81 players by game time.

Persons signing up using a computer browser and refreshing it at 9:30 have the best success to early access.  Being flexible in choosing the times and partners which are available is another option for success.

Our system of sign up is challenged by multiple members accessing the same spreadsheet cells at the same time.  We are looking at other systems, that might lessen this problem.  In the meantime, a cell that looks empty when you open it may have data entered before you close it.  Please do your entries as quickly and accurately as possible.  We can mediate how was in the cell first by viewing the version history of the spreadsheet.

Browser refreshing is usually all that is needed to have access, but some have had problems doing this.  You may have to close the browser and then re-open it to access the website.

The group emails will usually follow the browser opening shortly.  Our last group email was delayed a few minutes by a number of distractions at the time.

Sorry in some ways for what has become a stressful event.  At the moment, it seems to be the most equitable and transparent way to allocate our limited resource.

Comments on your experiences or suggestions are welcome.
