2021 FINAL - Closest to Pin Winners

Lon Monk made sure he would finish in the top spot by adding another CTP on hole #11.
Lon's final tally for the shortened year was (6).
Congratulations Lon!

Peter Cary's prior total of (4) was enough to hold onto a second place finish.

Greg Myers jumped up into the 5-way tie for 3rd with his CTP on hole #7.

Dan Kim moved up a position with his CTP on #15, to finish in a 13-way tie for 8th.

Tom McCafferty (hole #4) and Chris Sandberg (hole #17) were added to the leaderboard with their first CTP's of 2021.

Last Event Summary - December 16, 2021 - 2 Best Balls Net

It was only 37 degrees when I left for the course - certainly one of the coldest days we've had for a while. Nonetheless, a great turnout for this four-player team event. The course was playing long as a result of soggy conditions from the downpour on Tuesday but some good scores were recorded.

Tied for first place at 11 under par, were the teams of Burnie Presho, John Miller, Gary Bennett and Wayne Rowell; and David Kent, Bart Greenberg, Rich Clause and Peter Cary.

The low net of the day was Dave Wilson with a net 72, followed by Bart Greenberg with a net 74.  Low gross honors are held by Chris Sandberg at 76.

In the Skins Flight A, David Kent had three skins with birdies on holes 8, 9 and 12, and a very impressive skin by Chris Sandberg with a gross eagle on 18!.

In the Skins flight B, Chris Aasland, John Miller and Greg Myers each had one skin, and in the Skins

Flight C, Shirley Skirvin had two skins with birdies on 8 and 9. Jim Rossman, Don Crosby and Hoyt Etter each had one skin.

Thank you to everyone for playing - no last minute cancellations!!

Last Event Summary - December 2, 2021 - Individual Net

Today we had a good weather day to play a round of golf as the fog did not materialize as it did yesterday.  We only had 5 players out of 67 to score under net par.  Congrats go out to our flight winners, Dave Wilson for Fight A net 69, and Joseph Chien Flight B with a net 65.  Low gross honors in Flight A goes to David Kent with a 76 and Joseph Chien in Flight B with a 77.

There were a total of 6 skins in the A Flight for a payout of $28 each and 5 skins in the B Flight for a payout of $33.

The first pairing finished in about 3 hours and 45 min and the last 4 hours and 50 minutes.  We need to work harder on keeping pace.

We also had about 5 players cancel within 12 hours of play.  I know that things happen but please try to inform the Tournament Manager ASAP if you are not playing.  We also had one player just not show up.  Maybe it was a good reason I don’t know.
Thanks to all for coming out.  We had a couple of new members playing today and I hope that they had an enjoyable time.

Enjoy the Holiday Season if I don’t see you before.

Ron Plummer, Tournament Director
