Guide to Entering Tournaments

Sign-Up Sheet

We use a shared Google Sheet for event sign-up and recommend installing the free Google Sheets app on your device.

The sheet for our next event is published to our website at 9:30AM on the Friday following a Thursday event. There will be an announcement post on the main page with a link to the sheet. Within a few days, a link to the sheet will be added to the right-panel navigation menu under “Tournaments”.

Reserving a Spot

To reserve a tee time enter your name in a ‘blank’ cell for the time you want. There can be a dozen or more members entering names at the same time when the sheet opens, so be aware of what cell you are typing in. Do not type over someone else’s name.

Waiting List

If the sheet is full, or if the available times do not fit your schedule, you can add your name to the Waiting List on the sheet. Include a time-range of an hour or so that you would prefer, and if a spot opens up the Tournament Director will place you. You can also use the waitlist and state “Any Available” if you would simply like the TD to place you in an available spot.

Fee’s

We charge an entry fee, which is described on the sign up sheet.  The entry fee is usually $12.  You may pay by PayPal, with links on our web page and on the sign up sheet. If you have a balance on account from prior event winnings, we will pay the entry fee from that account. You may also pay by check to CMSGA before the start of play.  No cash please.

If your entry fees are not coming from your account balance, we would appreciate prompt payment via PayPal or check.

Green fees and cart fees are paid to the pro shop on the day of play.

Changing Your Time Slot

If you need to change the time slot you have signed up for, please send an email to cmseniorsgolf@gmail.com to make that change for you.

On occasion, the Tournament Director may need to make changes to consolidate groupings. If this is needed, you will be notified to make sure the revised time slot is acceptable to you.

Withdrawing

If you need to withdraw from an event you have signed up for, please send an email to cmseniorsgolf@gmail.com. If the withdrawal is the day before the event or that morning, please send the email but also call the course pro-shop at 714-540-7500.

As always, if you have any questions, please contact the Tournament Director at:  cmseniorsgolf@gmail.com
