CMSGA is an SCGA affiliate club, with membership consisting of local seniors. Tournaments are held on alternate Thursdays of each month, on either Mesa Linda or Los Lagos - the two 18 hole courses at the Costa Mesa Country Club.
Play will be on Los Lagos. The team format will be 4 players, scoring the 2 best balls net. There will be individual competitions by flight for low gross, low net and net skins.

We had 80 golfers participate in our 4 club tournament played on Mesa Linda. It was another nice day out there and the course was in good condition - Kudos to the groundskeepers 🌳 and thanks to our tournament director Dan Hudgins 😎 I hope everyone had a great time out there 😁

It was a good day to play on Los Lagos, with a number of great scores posted, a week or so before the greens get punched. The tournament was initially full at 92 players, plus a small waiting list. On game day, we ultimately had 82 players.
The winning team was John Jurczak and John Gothard, scoring a one best ball 63 net. The lowest gross scores by flight were Marty Burns (74), John Jurczak (80), Jim Meyer (84) and Fred Depaola (91). The lowest nets by flight were Mike Supple (69), John Jurczak (70), Joseph Chien & Jim Meyer (both 69) and Fred Depaola (67). Mike Supple, Jim Meyer, Harlan Andersen, and Al Arnold each won a pair of skins, among the 25 total skins won.
Tim Bjelland and Peter Hagen both prevailed in their semifinal Presidents Cup match. They face each other next month in the flight A final. Damian Wilkerson and Jim Meyer will compete in the flight B final.

Play was on Mesa Linda. Rain and cart restrictions reduced the competition field from 92 to 15. The hardy few were place in one flight for individual low gross, low net and net skins. There was no team competition or CTP's.
Honors went to Dick O'Neil for low gross (75), Gary Bennett for low net (72) and Christi Whittemore & Harlan Andersen for a pair of skins apiece.
Thanks to our members who played, and for the good communication from those who those who chose not to play, given the conditions. Also to Bret Bauer for setting up and scoring this tournament during evolving scenarios.
