Great day to be out in the California sun.
Winners today were Flight 1 Ron
Plummer with a net 69 and Flight 2 had a tie with Bret Bauer and Kent
Cowgur with net 68s. Low gross today goes to Don
Spreeman with a 72.
We had 14 skins, 6 in Flight A, 4 in Flight B, and
4 in Flight C. Remember that in skins competition you play off the low
player in your flight.
I played in the first group at 7:33 and we
finished in 3 hours and 50 minutes. It may sound
fast but there were actually players in front of us that we were
following. Our last group teed off at 10:06 and finished in 5 hours and
35 minutes. By any measure this is ridiculous! Please, if you don’t
see the group in front of you pick up the pace.
If you can’t catch up in a hole or two skip the next hole and move on.
There are players behind you, that you probably know, that are waiting
on you.
See everyone at Skylinks on the 29th,
Ron Plummer, Tournament Director
Thanks to Ron for directing and scoring this tournament. This round will not be posted to GHIN. We do have a Pace of Play policy on this website. If you are behind a group that is out of position, rather than stew or confront, please call the course for a marshal to assist.
