After much trepidation and worrying
over weather forecasts, the rain cleared in time for us to hold our
tournament as scheduled. Wet conditions interfered
somewhat with driving range plans, and necessitated CART PATH ONLY
rules, but we survived. The course dried quickly, and it actually
turned out to be a pleasant day for golf. Here are the results:
Flight A: David Kent
is the flight winner with a net 69. In second place is Tom Ebert, 3
strokes back. Jim Meyer and Alex Cruz tie for third, one stroke behind
Tom. With one exception, you needed a net
eagle to win a skin in this flight. Tom Ebert, Dave Basile, Larry
Newman,, Arnie Aparicio, and Ed Chavez each won one.
Flight B: Bret Bauer
is the flight winner, with a net 69. In second place is Thorpe
Logemannn two strokes back. Third place is a 3-way tie between Boll
McCrea, Mike Bekins, and Ed Arnold, one stroke behind
Thorpe With one exception, you ONLY needed a net birdie to win a skin
in this flight. Joe Willis, Jim Alhandy, Bret Bauer, Shirley Skirvin,
and Ed Arnold each won one.
Abe Pearlman, Tournament Director
It was fun to have our group together at a different course. For most of us, the net scores were nothing to brag about. A less familiar course and cart paths only surely contributed. It made the few low nets in the group even more unique. Our low gross honors of the day were shared by Alex Cruz and Dave Kent, each with a 76. Thanks to Abe for making this tournament happen.

Any news on the tournament from Sky Links?
ReplyDeleteHi Bret. I know the tournament director is working on it, as Abe called me late this afternoon to clarify a score on the card I had turned in. Results should be available on the site very soon.
