February 3, 2022 - Individual Net Results

What a great day to play a round of golf.  We also started our yearly Presidents Cup matches today.  I heard that one of the players shot a gross 69.  Congratulations to Dave Wilson.  On the net tournament side we had a gross 70 turned in by Pete de Boer.  Low net honors goes to Russ Barrett with a net 66.

Skins in the A flight pretty much took a net eagle to win, B flight it usually took a net birdie, and C flight birdie or par.  Please remember that we are scoring the skins off of the low player in that flight.  So the low player plays to a zero and your handicap is adjusted to that player.

I played in the first group and finished in 3 hours and 45 minutes.  It is reported that some groups were 2-3 holes behind the group in front of them.  PLEASE KEEP UP WITH THE GROUP IN FRONT OF YOU.  if someone in your group is slow don’t wait for them if you have putted out, go to the next tee and tee off.

Thanks to Ron for directing and scoring this tournament.  The results for yesterday's tournament and the first round President's Cup match play on now on our website.

Our next tournament is a Stableford Individual Stroke Play with net skins and flights on Mesa Linda.  Peter Cary is the tournament director.  The Stableford scoring system details are being discussed and will be explained on the tee sheet later.

 

On Friday 2/4/22 we opened the sign up sheet for an away tournament at Skylinks in Long Beach.  We have 48 tee times to start and can expand.  Payment deadlines and details are in another post, linked to HERE.
