Costa Mesa Course Handicap Charts

Note to anyone using this link:  Costa Mesa updated it's course ratings in 2023 since this was posted.  The handicap tables linked below are not current.  Course handicaps can be calculated using the USGA, GHIN or SCGA websites or the USGA GHIN app for your phone.  We hope to create updated tables in the near future.

Below are links to the USGA Course Handicap Charts for both courses at Costa Mesa. Click on the Tees to see the chart.

As you probably know, it is the Course Handicap that is used as the basis for determining strokes received (or given) in our events.

When thinking about Handicap Index's vs Course Handicaps, I like to think of it as:

You bring your Handicap Index to a course.
You receive a Course Handicap at the course (based on the tee's you are playing).

These charts tell you what you receive based on what you brought.

Then, there is the Playing Handicap.

This Playing Handicap is the result of a Handicap Allowance applied to your Course Handicap, and is for the event you are participating in. The Tournament Director decides what Handicap Allowance to use, based on USGA Guidelines.
