Thanks to all who competed in our annual Skee Memorial Member Member.  Although the course was damp, we had no rain and plenty of sun.  Early groups finished in 3.5 hours.  Ned Whittemore managed a Hole in One on #10.  An enjoyable day all around.

Bret Bauer, Tournament Director

Adding their name to our website's Hall of Champions are the winners of the two team flights, all with net 61's.  Dave Basile and Bill McCrea handily won Flight 1.  Flight 2 went to Wayne Rowell and Eric Gastineau over Bob Colclough and Jim Ortale in a scorecard tiebreaker (back 9 by 1).

Eric and Bill also claimed multiple skins.

Individual flight winners were Steve Keith (67), John Jurczak (66), Tom Ebert (65) and Jim Ortale (66).  Great scores despite some pins that were in extremely difficult places.

Joseph Chien, playing in our earliest group, put the CTP placards so tight on #2 and #6 that they were never bested.

Yet the shot of the day was this one by Ned Whittemore off the tee on #10.  Ned collects an extra $100 for his Hole in One during a CMSGA tournament.  Playing a nicely struck 8 iron into a light breeze, the group's suspicions from the tee were confirmed when they arrived at the cup.  Congratulations, Ned!

Skee Gutmacher was a beloved member, who knew every worker at the course.  He had been our CMSGA treasurer for about 20 years, until 2017, when he passed a few days shy of his 94th birthday.

Thanks to Bret Bauer for setting up and scoring this tournament.  This was his first.  One of the most difficult issues is trying to score and reshape teams when little or no notice is given regarding withdrawals.  Please let us know with as much notice as possible if your plans to play must change.
