John had remained a long term CMSGA member and member emeritus until the past year, remaining active until the prior year. John was an accomplished golfer. He also belonged to the Costa Mesa Men's Club.
When John moved into assisted living, he continued to follow our club. He requested a CMSGA golf shirt, which he was pleased to receive when I delivered to him last year. In return, he gave me his coveted Green Book for the Costa Mesa greens, lamenting that he would no longer need it.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Costa Mesa Golf Course on Thursday, March 2nd, at 2 PM.
RIP Mr. Sloan. 93 times around the sun, wow. I didn’t know you but I hope you had a wonderful life.
