January 19th Results
Preliminary Results Summary for January 19th *Here*
We lost many players due to the residual wet conditions and the unavailability of riding carts on the course. We were able to consolidate 23 teams into 13, with one threesome. Thanks to our members for letting us know their playing plans and showing up early to make it work. Mary Beth was also a great help.
After the round, we set up the tournament with 51 players. We created three tournaments: a team event with one flight, an individual low net with two flights and a net skins with two flights. We divided the $12 entry fee equally between the three competitions.
We used one blind for the threesome. We used the same blind again for two players that only played 9 holes and 10 holes to enter gross scores that would match the net score for missing holes with the blind
Thanks to Dan Hudgins for directing this tournament.. Thanks to our members for coming together under these trying conditions.

January 19th Tournament

Our January 19th Third Thursday tournament is a second attempt at a team shamble, after our last tournament was rained out. Play will be on Mesa Linda. A shamble allows a team to choose which drive to use on each hole. Players will play their own balls from that point until holed. Each team member must provide a minimum of two tee shots for the round. There will also be an individual net skins competition. Dan Hudgins is the tournament director.
If you need to make changes to the sheet, please contact us through the comments below or by email to cmseniorsgolf@gmail.com. The entries are filled and have been locked.
The CMSGA Meteorologist says...
We've been watching this storm coming for the past week, with only a slight hope that the forecast would change. If the course remains open, you may play if you want. I'm sure there will be an abundance of tee times open. We will reluctantly cancel the tournament for Thursday, January 5th.
We will change the planned format on January 19th to what we had planned for January 5th. That will be a team shamble, but on Mesa Linda. The sign up sheet for January 19th will open on this website on Friday, January 6th, at 9:30 AM.
Paid players for January 5th will receive a $12 credit to their CMSGA balance. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thanks, Bill
