The 2025 President's Cup is our only match play event of the year. The draw and brackets have been completed. Matches and results may be viewed through the "brackets" link below. We have 32 players. All players should have received an email (sent Jan 21st) regarding pre-scheduled match times in February. Additional signups may be alternates for first round withdrawals.
The weather
kept a few people home today, but I'd say it was a bad decision on
their part because the rain was minimal and early. The rest of the
day was fine.
We had 13 no-shows after the cards
were printed, so there was a little shuffling around of a few teams and
players, but when it was all reassembled to create complete 2 person
teams, we ended up 58 golfers and 29 teams. I did have to place 3
golfers randomly to fill in a few holes even though
these teams did not play together; Tom Kennedy was teamed with Anthony
Baccaro, Bob Angel was teamed with Gary Bennett, and Conrad Wilson was
teamed with Ed Chavez. Below are some of results.
Stableford 2 person teams
Flight 1 team winners were John Jurczak and yours truly
Flight 2 team winners were John Westermeyer and Doug Kramer
Stableford Individual
Flight 1 winner: Mike Mclanahan
Flight 2 winner: Jim Meyer and Dan Hudgins tied for first place
Flight 3 winner: Todd Danly
Flight 4 winner: John Westermeyer
Skins
Flight 1 Peter Cary won 2 skins, with 4 others awarded
Flight 2 Jim Meyer won 2 skins, with 3 others awarded
Flight 3 Todd Danly won 2 skins, with 3 others awarded
Flight 4 had 9 skins awarded
Thanks to all who braved the weather today and made the effort to make
our tournament another success! And a special thanks to Ron for his
assistance!
Dan Hudgins, Tournament Director
And thanks to Dan for setting up and scoring this tournament. We just added results for the low gross Stableford winners in each flight: Mike Clanahan (32), John Jurczak (27), Todd Danly (23) and John Westermeyer (19).
Today started with some wind then
it went away. We had summer like weather for the rest of
the round. We do the shamble format infrequently. It
gives some a chance to score a low round. This round is not posted to GHIN,
There were 7 teams that separated from the pack, scoring 23 under par or lower. The winning foursome was the team of Skirvin, Kim,
Howard, and Howard with 29 under par. The CTP winners were Klemens,
Ludlow, Kirchgessner, McGroarty, McClanahan, and Schneider.
Congratulations to all of our winners today.
Our first group finished in around 3:40 with our last group around 5:10. We had six withdrawals shortly before the tournament. The heads up was appreciated. With earlier notice, we may have been able to consolidate our groups to have less threesomes.

February
tournaments are back to the first and third Thursday so set it
up in your calendar.
Thanks to
all, Ron Plummer, Tournament Director
And thanks to Ron for setting up and scoring this tournament. Some have asked about the individual results. We had decided during setup to only have the team competition, as the individual scores in a shamble format are not on a level playing field. Sorry for disappointing several with outstanding individual scores.
